Build Strength, Power, and Confidence Through Professional Sports Performance Training!
High school and youth athletes have a training home for reaching their athletic potential through our sports performance training at Total Athlete Training. Our strength and power training for high school and youth athletes in Winter Garden, Windermere, and surrounding areas is delivered as part of our comprehensive athletic development program, with athletes training in age- and ability-appropriate groups.
Within this system, athletes develop strength and power alongside speed, coordination, vertical jump, balance, and agility. Training is structured to help athletes feel and see their progress over time, reinforcing proper habits and building confidence as they grow stronger and faster.
Our coaching staff is trained to coach strength and power development — not just supervise workouts — by teaching proper movement patterns, sound lifting technique, and progressive loading strategies in a safe, age-appropriate environment. Through consistent coaching and measurable benchmarks, athletes stay motivated, confident, and progressing safely in the right direction.

Elevate Sport Performance Through Strength and Power Training
We know that youth and high school athletes are not adults — and that simply copying college or professional training programs and making the weights lighter is not appropriate or effective. Strength that only improves weight room numbers doesn’t guarantee better performance in sport. Athletes need strength that transfers to speed, jumping, and sport performance — which is why we train strength alongside speed, agility, and vertical jump. Our strength training is built on proper progression, purposeful coaching, and integrated athletic development.
Progressive Strength and Power Training for Youth and High School Athletes
Our Strength and Power Training in Winter Garden, Windermere, & surrounding areas for youth and high school athletes includes:
Rookies (Ages 7–9)
At the Rookie level, young athletes learn how to control their own bodies through proper posture, balance, and movement awareness. Through bodyweight-based exercises and carefully coached athletic movements, athletes are taught how to effectively use their strength during running, jumping, and basic change-of-direction activities. This approach has high athletic carry-over, establishes safe movement habits, and creates the physical foundation young athletes need before progressing to more traditional strength training.
Youth Athletes (Ages 10–13)
At the Youth level, athletes learn how to create and manage force through basic strength patterns such as squatting, hinging, pushing, pulling, and bracing. Athletes learn how to apply their developing strength while sprinting, cutting, jumping, and performing the athletic movements trained in our program. Structured resistance is gradually introduced, with coaches reinforcing proper technique and emphasizing control through full ranges of motion. Progress is measured through improved execution and consistency, helping athletes learn how to train with purpose as they prepare for the demands of high school sports.
High School Athletes (Ages 14–18)
High school athletes require a more focused strength emphasis — without sacrificing safety. Training becomes more individualized with integrated speed, vertical jump, and agility training rounding out a program with high carry-over to sport performance. We know that training methods designed for collegiate or professional athletes do not become optimal for high school athletes by simply making the weights lighter. Because our strength training methodology is built specifically for the high school athlete’s stage of development, it is more effective than adult-based protocols for building long-term performance and athlete durability. Progress is monitored consistently throughout the training process, reinforcing confidence and advancement without unnecessary exposure to maximal or risky testing.
College Prospect / Collegiate Athletes
For athletes striving for the college level or already there, strength and power training follows a clear, data-driven roadmap built from actual collegiate coaching experience. Guided by Coach Dan’s Division I collegiate strength and conditioning background, training is directed toward attaining age-specific standards across agility, strength, vertical jump, and speed that point toward a college sport trajectory, without skipping the foundational development required for high-level performance. Training is guided by objective performance standards, interpreted through the lens of the athlete’s sport, goals, and stage of development. This allows athletes to understand where they stand, train with purpose, and continue getting faster, stronger, and more explosive along a clear, proven pathway in a focused environment built for serious athletes.
